The California STEM Summit 2014 will take place over two days. The main conference will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Monday, February 3, 2014 is devoted to pre-conference meetings of CSLNet partners and affiliates, followed by a reception and VIP dinner. The agenda planned for the California STEM Summit 2014 will equip participants to be more powerful advocates and practitioners of STEM education.Through participation in the Summit, attendees will:
- Learn about the latest trends and challenges in advancing STEM education in California.
- Forge new and strengthen existing partnerships among education, business and community leaders.
- Understand the key levers for change in STEM education and how reforms in policy and practice work together to strengthen outcomes.
- Gain tools and techniques to be more powerful STEM champions in their own communities.
At the California STEM Summit 2014 we will utilize CSLNet’s Theory of Change – Engage & Motivate, Disseminate & Equip, and Teach & Learn – and focus on how participants can provide access to quality STEM learning experiences and increase educator capacity through practice and policy.
